At long last – The book of Ruth updates!

Hello all!

Fear not, this place, as is its owner, are very much still active!

Unfortunately, it takes years and then some more months to make a film!

But a couple of days ago, after 4.5 years in the making, we finally completed The Book of Ruth.

Every year, on Jan 1st, I said to myself “maybe this is the year it’ll finally happen. Let it be the year it finally happens!” So imagine the feeling of knowing that 3 days before the end of the year, nay, the decade, a project I spent half of the decade developing is finally completed.

We needed 8 months to finish it they way we wanted. Get that perfect score, the coloring process, taking this tiny shot out, adding that one. Tweaking is hard, but here we are, on the other side.

I owe thanks to many family members, friends, colleagues, and kind strangers who helped throughout this journey and I truly can not wait to share it with all of you!

I’ll keep you posted about screenings and others news, and I’ll also keep you posted about whatever it is I’ll tell myself on this upcoming Jan 1st. Which will probably be the answer to the questions – what’s next?

Happy new year everyone! More soon!

Speaking of Ruth’s, the script passed another round of the American Gem short Script Competition and Literary Festival and is now a quarter-finalist (see list of qualifying scripts.) Semi-finalists will be announced in a few weeks, but knowing that 1309 scripts were submitted and that Ruth’s is currently in the top 14%, is a huge honor no matter what!
