A Jewish, Queer, Van Gogh-Related Collab

Considering my current work on Blood and Sex Over Ambition, it was quite kismet-y to be introduced to Michelle Jacobs’s work.

Michelle, a proud queer Jew herself, has experienced a major change in her art following Oct. 7th. She speaks about it here.

When I saw the video I was really moved.

What really sealed the deal for me, and made me contact her, was her piece -Starry Night Of David.

Michelle Jacobs of Kiss My Art is posing with her Starry Night of David, Van Gogh-inspired painting, in collaboration with Chen Drachman's Blood and Sex Over Ambition

Michelle very generously and graciously offered to donate 15% of earnings of her two Van Gogh-inspired products (the print and the phone case) to the production of BASOA (I’m afraid the painting has sold, but she takes commissions!)

So if you buy either item between now and mid-november (when we plan to film), 15% of that will go to us, and by doing so you’ll be supporting two Jewish members of the LGBTQ community at once. We love that it’s a way to contribute that will not break the bank!

Michelle’s store has so much more to offer, so I recommend looking around, and of course, if you want to contribute even more to my upcoming film, details on how to do so (in a tax-deductible way!) can be found here.

Thank you!
