First and foremost, a last reminder that tomorrow, International Holocaust Remembrance Day, I’ll join author Ruth Franklin to discuss her new book and screen The Book of Ruth. Now, we’ll be joined by Tovah Feldshuh, and the entire discussion and Q&A will be moderated by NYT bestselling author, Dani Shapiro.
A Few more details:
Ruth Franklin’s The Many Lives of Anne Frank offers a fresh biography of Anne Frank, tracing her journey from an ordinary teenager to a global icon. Franklin examines Anne’s life in hiding, the impact of her diary translated into over 70 languages, and its relevance today amid rising antisemitism. The book also explores controversies surrounding the diary’s adaptations. Complementing this is Chen Drachman’s The Book of Ruth, a poignant short film starring Tony and Emmy nominee Tovah Feldshuh, exploring hidden family secrets during a Passover Seder.
Feldshuh Will join Franklin and Drachman for a discussion and a Q&A.
This event will be moderated by Dani Shapiro, a bestselling author of eleven books, including Signal Fires and Inheritance, both National Jewish Book Award winners.
This is an event I’m truly looking forward to, and I hope to see many familiar faces in the audience. Tickets can be purchased here.
