I started working with a lovely guy, Mark Fraunhofer, on a series of half scripted shorts. We just started, so updates to follow, but I already have a few nice stills to show you like this one:

It also called for a gallery update, right here. More to follow!

I’ve recently took part in a shoot for a movie called “A Tiger in the Dark: Indestructible.” This is actually a sequel and my role is quite exciting mostly because I get to give a hard time to others, and that’s always tons of fun. We will resume filming next year, and I can’t wait. It’s one of these stories that you have absolutely no idea what’s going on. Not to mention, I might have an action scene with special effects and whatnot and get to kick some ass.

The yearly Gala for the Iranian American Jewish Federation, which took place at the Lincoln Arts Center in NYC, is behind us. Once again, I had a fabulous time, working with a generous, warm community of people, as part of the LinCommunication team. I sat in the control room, for the second year in a row, in charge of the visual aspects during the event. The gala was followed by a lovely after party on the rooftop of the famous Empire Hotel in NYC. I’m letting the producer side of me rest for a while. But probably not for long.

I recently got cast in my third NYFA project which will be shot early next year. I’m very excited. Work with NYFA is always great and leads to meeting amazing people and portray really cool characters.

There might be zombies involved, and it’s also a lead, so I’m truly happy and can’t wait to work with two lovely guys from Spain who are spending the next few weeks in pre-production, including translating the script from Spanish to English.

I can’t say much yet, but they created a whole new intriguing world, that will be really interesting to explore.

Every time I work with NYFA it’s a bit on the horror-y/sci-fi-y side. I guess I’m just this kind of a girl.

Watch this space!

Hit the MARC is still not forgotten. I shot a short scene yesterday, and yes, we still have a few more to go which is why this is taking so long. But you contributed for us to make a whole season, and so we shall. With two new original songs, a theme song, more interesting characters, and whatnot.

That’s it folks! Happy holidays to you all, wherever you are and whatever it is you’re celebrating!

Be safe and merry and stay warm!

Next update – next year!

Like Ingrid Bergman Premiere *** Rain in Summer in festivals *** Digital Physics

Hey guys!

So a few days ago (on August 12th)  I went to the “Like Ingrid Bergman” world premiere at the NYC International Film Festival!

It was fun to see the cast again, and meet some other filmmakers and watch their work. Some of them were wonderful.

Watch out for “Foodie” and for “Say it Ain’t Solo”.

We also had a short Q & A at the end and got good responses. So definitely a good afternoon for everyone involved.

Here are a few pictures, they were also uploaded to the gallery.

There’s also a trailer you can watch:

And then there’s our Indiegogo campaign, and for $10 only you can get your own copy of the film and help us send it to more festivals! Here’s the website.

Today I was on the set of “Digital Physics”. It’s my second feature, they’ve been filming for a month now, and I only joined in for the day to play a street musician. Tiny part, but, it was a lot of fun because they trusted me enough to know I’ll teach myself a short melody on the recorder on which I’ve never played in my life. So I used the last month to do that. It was fun, good people and hopefully we’ll see some footage next year 🙂

Lots of other things are happening. Hit the MARC  for start is wrapping its season. Not for you, but yes for us. We already filmed parts from episode 6,7,8 (8 is the season finale), and we’re not done, but getting there. Once we *are* done, you can probably expect something new every 2-4 weeks from mid September, to probably December/January.

I’m writing some new things, for screen, and also not for screen. No need to jinx, but most definitely watch this space.

Until the next time!

Have a wonderful week!

Hit the MARC minisodes *** Like Ingrid Bergman at the NYCIFF *** Shadows

Hello everyone!
I took some time off from posting to work hard, and make sure I actually have a decent update for you before I post.
First and foremost, we have 2 new minisodes (or “While we wait”s if you prefer) of “Hit the MARC”.
The first one is “From Within”, and can be seen here:

Next one is “English Lesson”, back to the Javier saga, introducing our new favorite Australian – Jackson Eather, who also composed the music to an original song I wrote and is featured on this episode. It’s a comical one, don’t expect something heavy, do expect the mentioning of sweets. 🙂

The rest of the season is written and with a new director and producer, we’ll be starting filming the entirety of what we have left, this very month. Here’s to having episode 5 ready for you guys in September after some pick ups with absent cast members.

I’m so proud to announce that “Like Ingrid Bergman”, the first movie I’ve done out of school and in NYC, directed by Kevin Gay, is not only finally complete, but will also premiere at the 2012 New York City International Film Festival (NYCIFF). That’s the website for the festival. Not only is the script great, but I got to meet wonderful people and was blessed to have such a great first experience right out of school. I promise to update and who knows, maybe I’ll get to walk on a red carpet?

These days I’m absolutely swamped with stuff for “Shadows”. I’ve been part of this project for years. From a first presentation we’ve done in Israel for a famous Broadway producer, to the reading last summer at the WB offices in the city, to the very point in which we stand now. Eidan Lipper was my director and colleague back home, and he was always gifted but the music he created is absolutely mind blowing and the comic book like style of the show is new and very refreshing in the current theater scene. With a wonderful creative team, and cast, we had a first sold out preview on June 23rd, at the Roy Arias Theaters just around the corner from Time Square, and we have another show this upcoming Saturday. I’m the production manager, and it means many very different things, and it’s a challenging, satisfying job. Especially since I get to see something I’ve been part of for years in Israel, being produced and performed Off – Broadway in NYC.  This show is going places, I guarantee. So stay tuned, and check our website and facebook page (where you’ll soon be able to hear even more tracks from the show). I added it to my “Production” page so the link will permanently be there.

That’s all for today friends! But I have a feeling more is coming soon!
