Things have been quite interesting around here lately.
First of all, as we promised, we’re seeing more of Hit the MARC these days.
We’re trying to update every other week through the end of the series. Needless to say sometimes it’s harder, but you definitely won’t have to wait long between new uploads.
On that note, here’s our latest minisode:
We had some special guest stars, Maria Briggs and Oren Korenblum on this one, and it’s been a pleasure. Tricky, but a pleasure nonetheless.
More Hit the MARC. We finally uploaded our theme song, “Higher”. The songwriting section was updated accordingly.
you can listen to it here:

I had the pleasure of guest hosting a few episodes of “The Cinema Couch” along side a great panel of people. Not all of the episodes are available yet, but you can watch the following one. In this one, we discussed the current season of “Pretty Little Liars” which is a show I personally love a lot, and write about quite often.
I hope you like it!
More to come!

Last but not least, a new preview sneak peek from “A tiger in the Dark” right here on IMDB!
At long last, after months of work, episode 5 of Hit the MARC finally aired.
From now on, we’ll try to upload something new every 2 weeks, until the end of the show after episode 8 (but fear not, we have a few minisodes in between).
Thanks for All your support and patience, it’s good to be back.
You can watch the episode below.

My dear friend, Camille Theobald, who also directed and was a guest on “Hit the MARC”, invited me over to her hilarious Ukeletters corner on which she shares a bitter experience from her NYC life. She does so by writing letters to people who pissed her off. Every now and then she has a guest sharing his/hers own experience and writes a letter for them.
Here’s the interview we had:
And here’s the actual letter:

Another minor update: I’m going into the studio next week to do ADR for “The Conellys.” Can’t wait to see how this one is coming along.
More things are going on, but as you know, you’ll know when things are set in stone.
Things have been quite crazy ever since I got back to town. First and foremost, I got to film the zombie project which is now officially titled “The Conellys.”
Amazing cast, amazing crew, amazing 4 days experience in many locations around NYC.
There was touching of boobs, face slamming with a hammer, floor dragging, and tons of fake blood.
The story is quite different from your regular zombie tale and I hope that soon enough I’ll be able to say it’s been screened in festivals, because it really deserves it.
I want to thank Fran Moreta and Inigo Bordiu for trusting me with this story.
Here’s a quick peek.
As always, it looks a bit funky on the website, my apologies, but I added a gallery with these two and many more. Do check it out.
I’ve also updated my resume with this amazing project.
We’re doing some ADR make ups next week and I’m sure more updates are coming.

While we’re waiting for Hit The MARC (no pun intended), here’s a short video I’ve filmed with director Mark Fraunhofer. Pretty much two minutes of being in character (which means I really love my mom in real life, do not be fooled!). Just a little look into CJ’s head.
This is a prep for a few shorts we’re about to work on together in the next few months.
I really like the way it looks.

Tiger in the Dark – we’re filming tomorrow, and on Sunday, and we have tentative dates in February and late March.
We started with the trailers, extending to a short, and hopefully later on some feature-y saga of sorts.
The more we film, the more material I can show you. But either way – it doesn’t matter how much you see, you never really know what’s going on (neither do we as we film. Drew doesn’t tell us anything. That’s part of the fun).

Lastly, on a bit of a personal note, I published an article on my Tumblr yesterday. It’s about the treatment bisexuals get from *some* parts of the gay community.
Feel free to check it out here. I’m very touched by all the people who wrote to me afterwards. I wrote this for you guys.
This is all for today.
Stay warm! (Mostly relevant if you’re currently in NYC like myself)
I’m in London, heading back to NYC soon, and starting to film an exciting project a day after I get back.
So I spend random rides on the Tube memorizing lines. Nice.
One of the things I’ll be working on soon after I get back, is “Tiger in the Dark”.
The following trailers have been released, and I hope you’d like them.
We resume shooting later this month and during February.

While I’m away, Juan, who’s the director of the second half of the season of “Hit the MARC”, is filming with the guys. They’re working on 2 new minisodes, so as always, just a little bit longer, and we’ll have all of the material we need. Then, it’s just me spending a few good hours in editor’s mode in order to bring these to you.
So I am keeping my promise to you, and one day, you Kickstarter backers will get your rewards!
Stay tuned!

On a bit of a personal note, I want to use this space for a recommendation. Years ago, when I did a cabaret in Israel, I sang a song called “Lost in Translations.” An absolutely beautiful song.
The song is part of the score of a musical called “Lift.”
“Lift” is *finally* opening in London at the end at this month (I’m missing it, of course).
The people behind the show are Ian Watson, who wrote the book, and Craig Adams who wrote the score and whom I got to meet and is lovely.
The show will open on January 30th for a limted run until February 24th.
If you’re in London, or around, I *highly* recommend you go and see it.
I started working with a lovely guy, Mark Fraunhofer, on a series of half scripted shorts. We just started, so updates to follow, but I already have a few nice stills to show you like this one:
It also called for a gallery update, right here. More to follow!

I’ve recently took part in a shoot for a movie called “A Tiger in the Dark: Indestructible.” This is actually a sequel and my role is quite exciting mostly because I get to give a hard time to others, and that’s always tons of fun. We will resume filming next year, and I can’t wait. It’s one of these stories that you have absolutely no idea what’s going on. Not to mention, I might have an action scene with special effects and whatnot and get to kick some ass.
Here are a few photos:

The yearly Gala for the Iranian American Jewish Federation, which took place at the Lincoln Arts Center in NYC, is behind us. Once again, I had a fabulous time, working with a generous, warm community of people, as part of the LinCommunication team. I sat in the control room, for the second year in a row, in charge of the visual aspects during the event. The gala was followed by a lovely after party on the rooftop of the famous Empire Hotel in NYC. I’m letting the producer side of me rest for a while. But probably not for long.

I recently got cast in my third NYFA project which will be shot early next year. I’m very excited. Work with NYFA is always great and leads to meeting amazing people and portray really cool characters.
There might be zombies involved, and it’s also a lead, so I’m truly happy and can’t wait to work with two lovely guys from Spain who are spending the next few weeks in pre-production, including translating the script from Spanish to English.
I can’t say much yet, but they created a whole new intriguing world, that will be really interesting to explore.
Every time I work with NYFA it’s a bit on the horror-y/sci-fi-y side. I guess I’m just this kind of a girl.
Watch this space!

Hit the MARC is still not forgotten. I shot a short scene yesterday, and yes, we still have a few more to go which is why this is taking so long. But you contributed for us to make a whole season, and so we shall. With two new original songs, a theme song, more interesting characters, and whatnot.

That’s it folks! Happy holidays to you all, wherever you are and whatever it is you’re celebrating!
